The project Drops of Madness can be seen as a deep dialogue that can leave a reflection about some of the essential issues of our lives, such as the identity, self-knowledge, fear of death and so on.
Looking at the artworks is like entering a dark fairy-tale where “heroic children” – that recall those from the Grimm Brothers’ tales – intend to save us from ogres’ and witches’ violence, thereby adopting cruel methods themselves, likewise becoming tormentors and victims. These protagonists let appear deep psychological features which become obscure and mysterious, that make them change into messengers of the surfacing subconscious, that all cultures seem to have in common.
This universe turns out to be a parallel one that manifests the unconscious as far as dreams emerge which portray disturbing elements of a “certain hidden truth”
