This work is made from pipe insulation tubing and links to the conservation of energy, global warming and its impending outcomes. It is multi-layered in its construction and its concept. The image reads as a field of people in snow jackets, perhaps families gathered together, attentive, listening, waiting. The pieces also read as hifi speakers, there is the potential to speak out. Another reading is of reed pipes drawing in breath, perhaps suffocating, mouths and also eyes. A trick of the light creates dark candles, a vigil perhaps or a migration. A strong sense of mass concern pervades the scene as the figures await an outcome.
