I started the ongoing series Silence/Shapes in early 2010 to give a phisycal shape to the intangible.
The aim is to show that beauty can be found in clashing visions, making visible what is invisible for it’s own nature like burning desires, a mental state in which everything can happen in front of our eyes just staring at nothing. This can be interpreted as a form of blooming, while harvest is the benefit from this mental state.
As medium to realize my idea I chose the chemicals used to create smokebombs, something traditionally devoted to create chaos in political demonstrations, and to juxtapose it with the romantic idea of beauty of the natural landscapes.
Besides the religious aspects concerning what most of the religions call the “hidden manifest”, the political choice of using a violent medium to recreate something closed to beauty states that even extreme actions can lead to a higher interpretation of the human existance.
