I have been painting about addiction for many years now. Most of the imagery is about the public shame and degradation of alcohol and drug abuse that sticks out like a sore middle finger in rural America. I have done several paintings also about methamphetamine. These paintings are titled “meth mouth”, and feature the dental condition portrayed as a monster or object of worship and reverence.
