‘St Louis. Path 1′ is an animation of a rocky track in the French Pyrenees. Hundreds of scans of the path were created with a flat-bed scanner to create the animation. As the scanner moved, each scan was distorted, forming an unsettling yet familiar image.

It is bizarre, and magical, that such an insignificant origin (a path nobody would usually bother to notice) has evolved into something visually fascinating.

Like a Rorschach ink blot, the reflections encourage us to enter a dialogue with our subconscious…
