In these works I combined two opposites: first I took the painting Landscape nearby Dresden by Caspar David Friedrich (coll. museum Dresden) For the sky and the reflection in the water I used the painting Nr. 32 by Jackson Pollock ( coll. museum Düsseldorf). The serene and quiet of the romantic Friedrich with the action painting of Pollock. I have to mention that in my paintings the drippings are no drippings at all but very carefully repainted from the original. So here we find a double kind of reflection. Not only in the sky and water but also in the way we look at painting itself.
