In life we often play at who we want to be rather than being who we are. We wear costumes and masks which we believe hide our true selves from the rest of the world, when really the only one we are hiding from is our own self. Our image forms the bars of our jail. What lays beneath our vestments shows through, the mask we wear hides only the surface. We dress for success in pin stripes and pocket squares. We hide where we come from with labels and jewels. We should take off the costumes, remove the masks, but what fun is that?
