‘Paintings by Numbers’ is series of photographic works that depict seminal homoerotic artworks that are constructed from thousands of images extracted from the profiles of visitors to my Gaydar page. The image attached, of Caravaggios depiction of Narcissus, is titled ‘23046’ (the total number of small images that comprise the image). The work is an archival giclee printed mounted on aluminium and measures 60“x73” and was made in 2012.
