In advertising world styling and photoshopping has been criticised for misleading the general beauty ideal. By exploring the techniques of masquerade in advertising, I wanted to study if these devices can be used in the opposite purpose. Can a picture be aesthetically pleasing when the beauty ideal has been inverted.
