“It seems, most apt, to raise a hand
For those outstretching their palms
In the climes of Africa to the ghettos of New York
What for, but substances, to pass down the throat
It seems, the right thing to do, to raise a hand
Despite the conventions that impose otherwise
For those outstretching their palms
Where is their feast?
Oh no, the awkward question has been asked
Scrumptious fine dining comes with a price tag of guilt
The stuffing and scoffing becomes gluttony
When inequality dares to speak
The hands are raised, the questions declared
The feast is prepared as the world wakes up to understand
The outstretched palms with raised join hand in hand
Clutching together their plates of feast, in celebration of humanity”
