These are digital 3d modeled renderings of interiors. The most obvious contrasts in these images is, of course, the light and dark areas and the contrast between black and white areas and vivid color parts. In the rainbow image, the freehand drawn colorful lines are juxtaposed within a high contrast perspective interior. In the glass table still life we also see the strong light, dark, and color contrasts. In the box with birds interior there is an element of surrealism and the contrast here is between the real and unreal. There is also the concept of enclosure and release, of open and closed, of outside and inside, in all the images.
I sometimes use 3D studies as starting off points for paintings. In the moonlit windowed interior, I painted the light on the wall with a metallic silver paint. Because of how the metallic paint reflects light, when the painting is viewed from an angle, it blends with the wall color and disappears.
